If you ask any American, they have either been to Yosemite or have been meaning to go for a while. It’s on every American’s bucket list but after visiting the park, I realized that it’s not just Americans that have this beauty on their bucket list. Individuals come from all around the world to take in the views of Yosemite Valley. Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, towering granite monoliths, deep valleys, and ancient giant sequoias. On October 1, 1890, Yosemite became a national park, and more than 125 years later, it’s still wowing visitors.

If you’re on an ultimate Californian road trip or just planning on visiting a new national park, Sequoia National Park should definitely be on that list. Even though Yosemite National Park receives so much praise for its beauty, I believe that this neighboring Sequoia National Park is just as beautiful and worth visiting. Sequoia National Park is adjacent to the Kings and Canyon National Park and the best thing about these two national parks is that you only have to pay one entrance fee. Now, that’s a deal I would really want to get behind.

I had never been to the great smoky mountains before and that one time I do go, I went twice in a month. I spent the 4th of July weekend in the Smokies with my family celebrating my cousin and brother-in-law’s wedding anniversary and I spent the 3rd weekend of July in the Smokies with some of my closest friends for one of their 25th birthdays.
